Foods That Can Cause Flatulence You Should Avoid

Have you ever felt like your stomach is about to burst after a meal? This phenomenon can be caused by certain foods.

Beans and lentils contain carbohydrates, which are fermented by intestinal bacteria in the large intestine. Gas is a by product of this process. Legumes can be replaced in your diet with meat or quinoa.

Wheat, rye and barley are also capable of causing flatulence, and they can be replaced with oats and buckwheat.

Flatulence is also provided by broccoli, cabbage, onions and garlic. On important days when flatulence would be a nuisance, you can replace those foods with spinach, cucumbers, zucchini, thyme, parsley and spices.

If you are lactose intolerant, choose lactose free dairy products, coconut milk and almond milk.

Choose pure water instead of carbonated drinks. If possible, give up fresh apples.

Sometimes flatulence is caused by a certain product. In this case, it is enough to exclude just this one product from your diet. If digestion problems plague you constantly, be sure to consult a doctor.
