These No-Bake Desserts Are Guaranteed To Be A Hit With Your Family This Summer

Posted by Missy aka Tizzy in Food On 25th June 2018

Summertime is the worse time of year for cooking. Even if you have the comforts of central air, it is still too hot to slave over a hot stove or oven. The heat also does not stop your family from craving some sweet treats. The good thing is that there are tons of great recipes for no-bake desserts out there if you search. To help you with that, we have put together a list of some of our favorite no-bake summer treats that your whole family will love.

Southern Ambrosia Salad

This is a super sweet treat, even though sour cream is a key ingredient. Do not fret. You really cannot taste it. The great part of this recipe is that you can use fresh fruits or canned. This is a recipe that I personally make, but I use canned mixed fruit with cherries, drained of the water. My kids absolutely love it, and it is a great salad to bring to any summer party.

Lemon Ice Box Pie

There are all kinds of variations of this recipe, but this one is by far the easiest of them all. You really cannot go wrong with a sweet treat that only uses three ingredients and a pre-made pie crust. This is a perfect summer dessert and is not too heavy on the stomach.

No-Bake Cheesecake

While cheesecake can be a bit heavy for summertime, it is still a hit with my family. What is really great about this recipe is that you only need a couple of ingredients and a premade graham cracker crust. Then, you can top it with fresh fruit and cool whip.

Strawberry Cheesecake In A Jar

With this recipe, you can have your cheesecake in a smaller portion and with a lot less regret. It is great for eating while sitting outside on your patio with your family. You can even tweak the recipe to use any fruit of your choice. Pineapple or blueberries make a great summer alternative to strawberries.

Ice Cream In A Bag

This is such a fun way to get your kids involved in making dessert. We would suggest using a larger bag filled with ice and larger grained salt like kosher or sea salt to get a thicker batch of ice cream.

Two Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

Everyone loves chocolate, so you already know that this simple recipe will be a hit. All you need is water and chocolate. It does not get much easier than that.

Home Made Ice Pops

This is a fun, light, and healthy treat, especially for the kids on a hot summer's day. You can even get them involved in making them for a little extra fun in the kitchen.

Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream

What is great about most of these recipes is that they are simple enough that you can get your kids involved in the process. It is a great bonding experience for the whole family, and you end up with a tasty treat when you are finished.

Chocolate Oreo & Peanut Butter Cup Refrigerator Cake

If you really want to indulge in a super rich cake without having to bake anything, you will love this cake. Just watching this video is enough to make you start to drool. It is very easy to make and will definitely make your sweet tooth happy.

Adult Ice Pops

While we showed you plenty of great treats that we are sure your whole family will love, here is something just for the adults. Adults love popsicles as much as the kids, so why not add a little alcohol and really have some fun?
